What this job involves:
Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of preventive and corrective maintenance programs specifically for fire protection systems, including but not limited to: automatic sprinkler systems, fire alarm and detection systems, emergency voice/alarm communication (EVAC), gas-based suppression systems, fire pumps, and hydrant systems.
Ensure all fire safety systems remain fully operational, compliant with local regulations (e.g., Fire Services Department requirements), and aligned with client risk management and business continuity standards.
Supervise and coordinate contractors performing fire system inspections, testing, repairs, and upgrades—verifying work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to approved specifications.
Diagnose complex faults in fire protection infrastructure and implement robust, code-compliant engineering solutions with minimal disruption to building operations.
Support capital improvement projects and sustainability initiatives where fire system integration or upgrades are required.
Maintain comprehensive documentation, including as-built drawings, test certificates, maintenance records, and incident reports for audit and client review.

Desired experience and technical skills
Required
Diploma, Higher Diploma, or degree in Fire Engineering, Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years of dedicated, hands-on experience in fire protection systems within a facilities management, consultancy, or contracting environment—commercial, industrial, or mission-critical (e.g., data centers, high-rises) experience preferred
REW A0 / B0 is a plus
In-depth technical knowledge of fire detection, alarm, suppression, and life safety systems, including relevant standards (e.g., NFPA, BS, HK FSD codes)
Proven ability to interpret fire system schematics, hydraulic calculations, and control logic
Fluency in English and Cantonese (both written and spoken) to liaise effectively with clients, authorities, and on-site teams
Strong safety mindset, proactive attitude, and meticulous attention to compliance and documentation
