Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Business Development Executive supports the cement trading team in developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer satisfaction, identifying new business opportunities, and facilitating smooth coordination between internal teams, clients, and external partners in Vietnam.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture professional relationships with clients and key stakeholders across customer organizations.
  • Conduct client satisfaction reviews and surveys to ensure quality of service and product delivery.
  • Identify and communicate potential business opportunities with both existing and new clients to the trading team.
  • Promote the full range of company products and services, encouraging clients to explore offerings beyond their usual purchases.
  • Meet client relationship goals and sales KPIs as defined by the cement trading team.
  • Escalate and follow up on client concerns to ensure timely resolution and maintain high service standards.
  • Monitor vessel operations related to loading and discharging activities involving clients at ports in Vietnam.
  • Gather and share market intelligence, such as updates on new cement plants or clinker production lines, with traders.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure that client requirements are met efficiently and accurately.
  • Liaise with local agents and port authorities in Vietnam to collect relevant import/export data and submit reports to management.
  • Track and report monthly export activities for clinker, cement, and slag, as well as the import of materials like gypsum, across all major ports in Vietnam.

Key Result Areas:

  • Lead Generation - Number of qualified new business leads identified and submitted to the trading team.
  • Lead Conversion - Number of leads successfully converted into active trades or business engagements.
  • Market Intelligence Contribution - Accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of market insights shared to support business development, particularly related to new cement plants, clinker lines, or industry trends.
  • Client Relationship Management - Strength and depth of relationships maintained with both existing and potential clients, measured through client feedback, engagement levels, and repeat business.
  • Operational Oversight - Number of vessels effectively tracked and reported on during loading and discharging operations, with accurate documentation and timely updates.

Education, Experience and Skills:

Education & Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business or related discipline

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in client relationship management roles, gained in an international work environment in cement industry
  • Demonstrated track record in building client rapport, and fostering valuable relationships with clients – that are mutually beneficial to clients and company
  • Track record of generating revenues and profits
