Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive business growth and expand SynapsCo's presence across Malaysia and selected APAC markets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within Energy, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Power Generation, Infrastructure, Water, and Data Centre sectors.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and local partners.
  • Understand client requirements and ensure timely delivery of recruitment, consulting, and training services.
  • Negotiate contracts, commercial agreements, and service proposals with clients.
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Oversee and support the delivery of SynapsCo's three service lines across the region.
  • Source, attract, and recruit high-quality professionals within the Energy and Engineering sectors.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessment, offer negotiation, and onboarding support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Utilize ATS platforms, job boards, social media, and professional networks to identify and engage talent.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within recruitment processes and systems.
  • Ensure successful deployment of consultants and manpower resources to clients.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, forecasts, business reports, and performance analyses.
  • Monitor and report weekly business development and recruitment KPIs.
  • Manage and mentor consultants while supporting their professional development.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and management team to execute strategic initiatives.
  • Represent SynapsCo at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
  • Promote SynapsCo's reputation as a trusted and reliable partner within the market.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development, Recruitment, Manpower Services, or a related commercial role within the Energy, Engineering, Industrial, or Technical sectors.
  • Proven track record of developing business opportunities and managing client relationships.
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition processes.
  • Strong understanding of the Malaysian business environment and market landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct various types of interviews and candidate assessments.
  • Experience with recruitment technologies, ATS platforms, CRM systems, or candidate management tools is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on achieving KPIs and business objectives.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and growing organization.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proficiency in at least one regional language is required.
  • Existing network within the Energy, Engineering, or Industrial sectors is highly desirable.
