Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Management & Leadership
- Take full ownership of warehouse operations, inventory management, and nationwide delivery performance.
- Develop and implement warehouse strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and service levels.
- Lead, manage, and develop warehouse supervisors, drivers, and warehouse staff.
- Establish performance KPIs and monitor team productivity, accuracy, and operational standards.
- Ensure manpower planning and resource allocation are optimized to support business growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Inventory Management & Warehouse Control
- Oversee inventory accuracy and stock integrity across all warehouse operations.
- Develop and enforce inventory control procedures, stock movement processes, and audit practices.
- Review stock discrepancies, damages, and variances, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure warehouse layout, storage systems, and stock organization maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
- Lead periodic stock audits and ensure compliance with inventory management standards.
Logistics & Distribution Management
- Manage nationwide delivery planning and distribution operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery execution.
- Optimize transportation utilization, delivery routes, and load planning (CBM/m³) to maximize operational efficiency.
- Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Establish service standards and KPIs for delivery performance, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee fleet utilization and coordinate with external logistics providers when necessary.
Operational Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze warehouse and logistics performance metrics and prepare regular management reports.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
- Implement best practices in warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics operations.
- Lead operational projects related to warehouse expansion, system implementation, and workflow optimization.
Cross-Functional Management
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Finance departments to support business objectives.
- Participate in management meetings and provide strategic recommendations on inventory, warehousing, and logistics matters.
- Ensure alignment between stock availability, delivery schedules, and customer requirements.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, SOPs, and workplace safety regulations.
- Develop and enforce warehouse safety standards and risk management procedures.
- Investigate operational incidents and implement preventive measures.
After-Sales Service & Claims Management
- Oversee and evaluate all product claims, exchanges, repairs, and warranty cases.
- Assess claim validity and determine appropriate resolutions in accordance with company policies.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, warehouse, and service teams to ensure timely claim resolution.
- Monitor claim trends, recurring product issues, and repair costs, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all service and claim activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain management.
- At least 3 years of experience managing warehouse teams and operations.
- Experience in furniture, bulky goods, home living, or heavy product distribution is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control, logistics planning, and transportation operations.
- Proven leadership experience managing supervisors, drivers, and warehouse personnel.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with warehouse KPIs, cost control, and process improvement initiatives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and warehouse/inventory management systems.
- Fluent in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia for daily communication and coordination with customers, suppliers, warehouse staff, drivers, and internal departments.
- Familiar with delivery routes and logistics operations throughout Malaysia.
- Willing to work 6 days per week and support operational requirements during peak periods.
