Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Product Development (Nutraceuticals) role based in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves leading and supporting end-to-end product development activities, from concept generation and feasibility assessment to formulation, stability testing, and scale-up for nutraceutical and healthcare products. The individual will collaborate closely with nutritionists, food technologists, manufacturing, quality, and marketing teams to ensure formulations meet regulatory, safety, and efficacy requirements while aligning with market needs. Daily tasks include conducting R&D experiments, documenting test results, preparing technical specifications, and coordinating with suppliers on ingredients and packaging. The role also includes monitoring market trends, competitor products, and scientific literature to propose new product ideas and improvements to existing formulations.

Qualifications

• Strong Research and Development (R&D) background in nutraceuticals, functional foods, or related fields, with hands-on experience in formulation and product testing.
• Proficiency in Market Research and Product Management to identify customer needs, analyze competitors, and manage product life cycles from concept to launch.
• Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret scientific data, evaluate clinical and technical information, and translate findings into product decisions.
• Effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare technical documentation, and present product concepts clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Nutrition, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory and quality standards (e.g., Halal, GMP, HACCP, ISO22000) in food, nutraceutical, or healthcare manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with clinical literature review, ingredient sourcing, and cost optimization is an advantage.
