About iMotorbike

iMotorbike is Southeast Asia's leading motorbike marketplace and dealership, with operations across Malaysia (Shah Alam, Penang, Johor Bahru) and Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi). Backed by Gobi Partners and 500 Global, we're on a mission to modernise how Southeast Asians buy, sell, and own motorbikes — and we're growing fast.

About the role

This is a newly created position, and a significant one. As our first Internal Auditor, you'll be responsible for building our internal audit function from the ground up — establishing the frameworks, processes, and controls that will underpin how iMotorbike operates as we scale across the region.

You'll work directly with the CEO and senior leadership, giving you visibility and influence that simply isn't available in a large corporate audit environment.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement iMotorbike's internal audit framework, policies, and annual audit plan
  • Conduct risk-based audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas — covering both Malaysia and Vietnam operations
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, identifying gaps and recommending improvements
  • Review compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Malaysian Companies Act, Employment Act 1955, MACC Act 2009, and relevant Vietnamese statutory requirements
  • Prepare clear, concise audit reports and present findings to the CEO and relevant stakeholders
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Sales, and People & Culture to drive remediation of audit findings
  • Monitor implementation of agreed action plans and track closure of issues
  • Support the business in building a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement

What we're looking for

  • 3–5 years of audit experience at a Big 4 or reputable mid-tier firm (KPMG, EY, Deloitte, PwC, or equivalent)
  • Strong foundation in risk assessment, internal controls, and governance frameworks
  • Exposure to multi-entity or cross-border environments is an advantage
  • Professional qualification or working towards one — CIA, CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent preferred
  • Commercially minded — you understand that audit exists to protect and enable the business, not just tick boxes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting findings to senior stakeholders
  • High integrity, independent judgment, and the confidence to raise issues directly
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Shah Alam, Malaysia

What's in it for you

  • Genuine ownership — you're building this function, not inheriting it
  • Direct access to the CEO and leadership team
  • Regional exposure across Malaysia and Vietnam
  • A fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where your work has real impact
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
  • To apply
