Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
The Interior Designer is responsible for developing creative interior design solutions, preparing design proposals, coordinating project requirements, and supporting customer engagement activities. This role involves both design and business-related responsibilities, including project coordination, customer discussions, software demonstrations, and promoting the company’s design software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Interior Design & Space Planning
- Prepare interior design concepts, layout plans, mood boards, and 3D visualizations.
- Propose suitable materials, colors, finishes, and space planning solutions based on customer requirements.
- Develop practical and aesthetically pleasing design solutions for residential and commercial projects.
- Revise and improve designs based on customer feedback and project requirements.
2. Design Presentaton & Customer Consultation
- Meet with customers to understand design requirements, preferences, and project objectives.
- Prepare and present design proposals, concepts, and material recommendations to customers.
- Provide professional advice regarding design styles, materials, functionality, and space utilization.
- Support customers throughout the design discussion and decision-making process.
3. Project Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate closely with sales, project, production, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Assist in monitoring project progress and ensure design requirements are properly implemented.
- Communicate project updates, design changes, and technical details with relevant parties.
- Support problem-solving and coordination during project execution.
4. Design Software & Technical Support
- Utilize design software to prepare drawings, renderings, and presentation materials.
- Stay updated with the latest interior design trends, materials, and design technologies.
- Support the implementation and usage of AI house design software and related digital design tools.
- Assist customers or internal teams with software-related demonstrations or basic technical guidance when required.
5. Material Selection & Product Application
- Recommend suitable materials and applications according to design concepts and customer requirements.
- Understand the features and applications of the company’s products and materials.
- Coordinate sample selection, material matching, and design detailing for projects.
- Ensure selected materials align with project design intent and practicality.
6.Site Visits & Customer Engagement
This role is primarily office-based; however, the employee may be required to travel to customer locations, project sites, showrooms, or other external venues when necessary. This may include attending meetings with customers, conducting site inspections, supporting project discussions, providing software demonstrations, or assisting with design-related matters.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
Work Location: In person
