Job Description

Responsibilities

Hotel Audit Assistant / Executive

Key Responsibilities
1. Room & Hotel Quality Audit

  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms (cleanliness, readiness, functionality, presentation)
  • Check bathrooms for hygiene, amenities, and safety standards
  • Inspect public areas (lobby, corridors, lifts, staircases, and facilities)
  • Identify maintenance issues, defects, and SOP non-compliance
  • Record audit findings with scoring and photo evidence
  • Follow up on corrective actions and improvements

2. Front Office System Audit

  • Audit front office operations and PMS system usage
  • Verify check-in/check-out records and room status accuracy
  • Review transactions (rates, discounts, voids, cancellations, adjustments)
  • Reconcile system data with daily reports and cash records
  • Detect system errors, misuse, or control weaknesses
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures

3. Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare structured audit reports with findings and recommendations
  • Maintain proper audit documentation and evidence
  • Highlight risks and operational issues to management
  • Support special audits or investigations when required

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field
  • Experience in hotel operations (front office/housekeeping/audit) is an advantage
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Familiar with hotel PMS systems (e.g., ABS, I hotel or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Able to work independently and travel between sites
  • Own transport is an advantage
