Our client, a well-established organisation is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead the full spectrum of HR functions across the business. Reporting directly to the General Manager and Group Directors, this role will be responsible for driving HR initiatives, strengthening organizational effectiveness, ensuring compliance, and fostering a high-performance culture. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic HR partner while remaining hands-on in managing day-to-day HR operations within a lean and dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full spectrum of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, payroll administration, employee relations, learning and development, and HR operations.
- Partner with business leaders and department heads to develop workforce plans, manage manpower requirements, and ensure organizational structures remain efficient and aligned with business objectives.
- Drive end-to-end recruitment activities, including job design, talent sourcing, interviewing, selection, onboarding, confirmation, transfers, and employee exits.
- Implement and oversee performance management processes, including KPI setting, probation reviews, annual appraisals, performance improvement plans, and talent development initiatives.
- Manage payroll processes and compensation programmes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of salary reviews, bonuses, incentives, and employee benefits administration.
- Conduct market benchmarking exercises to ensure competitive compensation and benefits practices within the property industry.
- Develop, review, and enforce HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures to support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment legislation and statutory requirements while maintaining accurate HR documentation and records.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees on HR matters, including employee engagement, performance concerns, disciplinary issues, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture through employee engagement programmes, internal communications, and social activities.
- Identify organizational training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives to support employee growth and business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement of HR processes through digitisation, system enhancements, and process optimisation initiatives.
- Prepare and analyse HR reports, workforce metrics, and management information to support decision-making and business planning.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team while ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and service standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive HR generalist experience, preferably within the property development, property management, construction, or related industries.
- Strong experience managing the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, performance management, payroll, employee relations, and learning and development.
- Sound knowledge of Malaysian employment laws, labour regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Proven ability to partner effectively with senior management and influence key people decisions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Hands-on, proactive, and capable of operating effectively within a lean team environment.
- Experience driving HR process improvements, digitisation initiatives, and HR system utilisation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare HR reports and leverage data to support business decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems.
