Job Purpose

To support daily production operations by ensuring all production equipment, machinery, and processes operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. The Plant Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment performance, supporting production targets, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Operation & Equipment Maintenance

• Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Perform routine inspections of production equipment and identify any abnormalities.
• Carry out basic troubleshooting and minor repair works to minimize production downtime.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities together with the Engineering and Maintenance team.
• Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained in good working condition.

2. Production Efficiency & Process Control

• Assist in achieving daily production targets and operational efficiency.
• Monitor production parameters and ensure processes comply with established specifications.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure raw materials and finished products are handled according to operational requirements.

3. Quality Assurance

• Ensure production activities comply with Quality Management System requirements.
• Conduct routine checks to ensure products meet required quality specifications.
• Report any quality deviations, process abnormalities, or product non-conformances immediately.
• Support investigation and corrective actions for quality-related issues.

4. Safety, Health & Environmental Compliance

• Comply with all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Report hazards, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Participate in safety inspections, toolbox meetings, and emergency response activities.
• Support compliance with RSPO, MSPO, ISCC, SCCS, GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety requirements where applicable.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate production records, logbooks, and equipment checklists.
• Record machine performance data, downtime incidents, and maintenance activities.
• Assist in preparing reports and documentation required for audits and inspections.
• Ensure proper filing and retention of operational records.

6. Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with Production Supervisors, Operators, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance personnel.
• Support training and coaching of new operators and junior technicians.
• Participate in continuous improvement, 5S, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Relevant working experience in manufacturing or food processing industries will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of production machinery, pumps, motors, conveyors, and utility systems.
• Able to read and understand technical instructions, SOPs, and maintenance procedures.
• Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Good teamwork, communication skills, and safety awareness.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a production environment.
• Willing to learn and develop technical competencies in specialty fats manufacturing processes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
