A debt collector is responsible for recovering overdue debts from individuals or businesses while maintaining compliance with legal regulations and providing professional communication under KPKT and Malaysia Legal act.

Key Responsibilities

Debt collectors primarily work to recover outstanding debts for companies, financial institutions, or collection agencies. Their duties include:

• Contacting debtors via phone, email, or letters to inform them of overdue accounts and request payment
• Negotiating repayment plans or settlements that are manageable for the debtor while ensuring the company recovers owed funds.
• Maintaining accurate records of all communications, payments, and agreements using relevant software or databases.
• Investigating discrepancies in accounts, verifying balances, and performing research to locate debtors who cannot be reached.
• Following up on repayment plans to ensure compliance and taking further action if payments are missed, including potential legal steps.
• Adhering to laws and regulations governing debt collection to protect debtor rights and maintain ethical practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Successful debt collectors typically possess:

• Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively and empathetically with debtors.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
