JOB DESCRIPTION:
YOUR ROLE AS A SALES MANAGER
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving overall revenue growth and profitability by formulating and executing business strategies aligned with AirAsia’s corporate plan. The role requires strong sales acumen, strategic market insights, and leadership in managing distribution channels and client relationships within a designated territory. The ideal candidate will champion market expansion initiatives while staying abreast of industry trends, competitor actions, and regulatory changes.
Formulate and implement sales strategies to maximize overall sales growth and profitability.
Manage and grow existing accounts and distribution channels while identifying new sales opportunities.
Set and achieve ambitious sales targets in line with regional commercial plans.
Gather market intelligence and monitor aviation industry trends and competitor activity.
Maintain a strong understanding of governmental and regulatory issues impacting the territory.
Provide regular performance reports and business reviews to management on a weekly and monthly basis.
Lead the team and sales support operations to ensure customer satisfaction and high service standards.
Foster and develop trade partnerships and long-term client relationships.
Coordinate cross-functionally to identify and execute new business opportunities.
Actively contribute to strategic planning within the off-line sales portfolio.
Diploma or Degree in any field, preferably with 6+ years of commercial sales and distribution experience. Knowledge of the aviation industry is an added advantage.
Proven track record in sales performance, client relationship management, and channel development.
Experience in managing and developing staff is a plus.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and commercial skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
Ambitious, results-driven, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Pleasant personality with a proactive attitude and ability to adapt to change.
Must be willing to travel extensively.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into effective commercial strategies.
Solid grasp of business financials and cost-effective sales initiatives.
High attention to detail and solution-oriented mindset.
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic business environment.
