Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Automation: Design, build, and maintain robust automated test suites covering front-end UI, APIs, and performance testing, leveraging and extending modern automation frameworks.
  • CI/CD Integration: Partner with DevOps Engineers to seamlessly integrate automated tests into deployment pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable, and continuous feedback loops.
  • QA Strategy & Governance: Help define the organization’s QA tool stack, set engineering standards, establish best practices, and maintain clear documentation to drive a culture where quality is a shared responsibility.
  • Shift-Left Collaboration: Engage early with Product Managers and Software Engineers to review requirements, identify testability concerns, and contribute to clear, testable acceptance criteria.
  • Defect Triaging: Investigate and triage test failures efficiently, distinguishing between product defects and test environment/flakiness issues, and collaborating with developers for prompt resolution.
  • GenAI Innovation: Evaluate and identify opportunities to safely integrate GenAI tools into testing workflows (e.g., test case generation, test data management, result analysis) where they add genuine value.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5+ years of proven experience in a QA, Test Engineering, or Software Quality Engineering role, with a heavy emphasis on test automation over manual execution.
  • Technical Stack: Strong experience writing and maintaining automated tests across front-end, API, and performance domains. Familiarity with the Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript testing ecosystems is highly advantageous.
  • DevOps Mindset: Good understanding of modern DevOps practices and hands-on experience integrating test suites with CI/CD tools.
  • Tool Agnostic: Comfortable evaluating, recommending, and adopting the right tools for the job rather than simply defaulting to familiar ones.
  • Leadership & Ownership: A proactive track record of (or a strong interest in) establishing QA processes and standards from scratch, rather than just executing existing test scripts.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and triaging skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile Adaptability: Thrives in fast-paced, agile, or iterative development environments where requirements evolve.
  • Education: A Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Infocomm Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Pay: $6,500.00 - $7,500.00 per month
