Job Summary

• Manage the sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationship activities for assigned commodities within Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) operations.

• Preferred commodity experience includes Passive Components, PCB-related materials, Integrated Circuits (ICs), and other electronic components used in high-volume manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for assigned commodities, including sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, purchasing, and supplier management.

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to achieve cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply continuity objectives.

• Analyze market trends, component availability, lead times, pricing movements, and supply risks.

• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and long-term supply agreements with suppliers.

• Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure uninterrupted material supply.

• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by identifying and qualifying suppliers and sourcing components.

• Monitor supplier performance on delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.

• Drive supplier development initiatives and implement corrective actions when required.

• Manage excess and obsolete inventory exposure and support inventory optimization programs.

• Coordinate with global and regional suppliers to resolve supply chain issues, shortages, and allocation situations.

• Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Degree holder is preferred

• Minimum 2–5 years of purchasing OR sourcing experience in the EMS, electronics manufacturing, or semiconductor industry.

• Experience sourcing of electronic components, particularly Passive Components, PCB-related items, and ICs.

• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
