About the role
We are seeking an HR Cum Accountant Assistant to join our dynamic team in JRM Holistik Melaka Tengah, Melaka. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work across both human resources and accounting functions within our organization. In this dual-function role, you will provide essential support to both our HR and Finance departments, playing a vital part in ensuring smooth operations across these critical business areas. Your contributions will directly impact our organizational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, candidate screening, and new employee orientation
Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations
Support payroll administration, including data entry, verification and processing of employee payments
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records and accounts
Process invoices, receipts and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner
Support employee relations activities, including benefits administration and leave management
Prepare HR and accounting reports as required by management
Provide administrative support to both HR and Finance teams, including scheduling, filing and documentation
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Support compliance with HR and accounting policies and procedures
What we're looking for
A minimum of 1–2 years' experience in human resources or a related administrative role
Basic accounting or bookkeeping experience, or a willingness to learn accounting principles
A recognized qualification such as a Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to priorities multiple tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive information and financial data
Knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and regulations is preferred
Familiarity with HR information systems or accounting software would be advantageous
A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
