About the role

We are seeking an HR Cum Accountant Assistant to join our dynamic team in JRM Holistik Melaka Tengah, Melaka. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work across both human resources and accounting functions within our organization. In this dual-function role, you will provide essential support to both our HR and Finance departments, playing a vital part in ensuring smooth operations across these critical business areas. Your contributions will directly impact our organizational efficiency and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, candidate screening, and new employee orientation

  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations

  • Support payroll administration, including data entry, verification and processing of employee payments

  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records and accounts

  • Process invoices, receipts and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner

  • Support employee relations activities, including benefits administration and leave management

  • Prepare HR and accounting reports as required by management

  • Provide administrative support to both HR and Finance teams, including scheduling, filing and documentation

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures

  • Support compliance with HR and accounting policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of 1–2 years' experience in human resources or a related administrative role

  • Basic accounting or bookkeeping experience, or a willingness to learn accounting principles

  • A recognized qualification such as a Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to priorities multiple tasks

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive information and financial data

  • Knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and regulations is preferred

  • Familiarity with HR information systems or accounting software would be advantageous

  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
