Role Summary
We are looking for a Structural Engineer with experience in offshore, FPSO, marine, or turret-related engineering projects. The role will support structural design, analysis, calculation, and technical coordination for offshore structures and equipment-related scopes, preferably involving turrets, mooring systems, topside structures, or marine interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural engineering design, calculation, and analysis for offshore / marine-related structures.
- Support structural checks for turret-related components, offshore equipment supports, skids, frames, platforms, and related steel structures.
- Prepare and review structural drawings, design reports, calculation notes, and technical documentation.
- Conduct structural analysis using relevant engineering software, preferably ANSYS / FEA tools.
- Review design inputs, load cases, structural loads, material specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with piping, mechanical, design, and project teams to resolve technical interfaces.
- Support technical clarification, interdisciplinary review, and vendor / client comments where required.
- Ensure engineering deliverables comply with project specifications, offshore standards, and applicable design codes.
- Assist in checking structural integrity, constructability, and design suitability for offshore / marine environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Marine Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5–10 years of structural engineering experience, preferably in offshore, FPSO, marine, oil & gas, or heavy engineering projects.
- Experience with turret, mooring, swivel, offshore module, topside, skid, equipment support, or marine structure scopes is highly preferred.
- Familiar with structural analysis, finite element modelling, load assessment, steel structure checks, and engineering calculations.
- Experience using ANSYS / FEA software is preferred.
- Knowledge of offshore structural design codes and standards such as AISC, API, DNV, ABS, or Eurocode will be an advantage.
- Able to read and interpret structural drawings, general arrangements, fabrication drawings, and project specifications.
- Good coordination skills with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Able to work independently and deliver within project deadlines.
Preferred Profile
- Candidates with prior experience in FPSO turret systems, offshore loading systems, mooring systems, swivel-related structures, or marine structural engineering will be strongly preferred.
- Suitable for candidates who have worked in EPC, engineering consultancy, fabrication, or offshore project environments.
- Hands-on engineers who can support both design review and technical problem-solving are preferred.
