Summary of the Role
We are seeking a sharp, curious, and impact-driven communications professional to join our Strategic Communications team. This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, policy, and innovation, translating complex ecosystem initiatives into compelling narratives that engage founders, investors, partners, and the public.
You will play a key role in shaping how our agency communicates its mission in supporting early-stage ecosystem development, including funding programmes, startup enablement, and partnerships across public and private sectors.
Job Description
1. Content Development & Storytelling
- Craft high-quality written content across formats: press releases, feature articles, speeches, reports, op-eds, and digital content
- Translate policy, funding mechanisms, and programme outcomes into clear, engaging narratives
- Develop thought leadership pieces that position the agency as a key voice in the startup and innovation ecosystem
2. Research & Insights
- Conduct research on startup trends, ecosystem developments, and policy landscapes
- Distil insights into communication angles and content opportunities
- Support the development of data-driven narratives and reports
3. Editorial & Quality Control
- Maintain high editorial standards across all outputs
- Review and refine content from internal contributors to ensure clarity, accuracy, and impact
4. Campaigns & Strategic Communications
- Support integrated communications campaigns for programmes, announcements, and initiatives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align messaging across departments
- Ensure consistency of voice, tone, and messaging across all channels
5. Media Relations & PR (Support)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, and key opinion leaders
- Pitch stories, coordinate interviews, and manage media engagements
- Monitor media coverage and provide insights on narrative positioning and sentiment
6. Additional responsibilities assigned by HOD as he/she deemed fit and suitable for the candidate.
Job Qualification
- 3–5 years of experience in media, journalism, communications, or content roles
- Background in journalism, research, public policy, or related fields is highly preferred
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills (portfolio required)
- Strong ability to simplify complex topics into clear, engaging narratives
- Experience engaging with media and managing press relations is a plus
- Interest in startups, innovation, venture ecosystems, or economic development
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
