About the role

Northern Heart Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in George Town, Penang, is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our dynamic team. The full-time role is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring healthcare professional to contribute to the smooth operation of our pharmacy and provide exceptional patient care.

What you'll be doing

• Assist the Pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications according to prescriptions

• Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and patient information

• Liaise with patients, healthcare providers, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient service

• Provide customer service and offer guidance to patients on the proper use of medications

• Restock and organise the pharmacy shelves to maintain a well-organised and clean environment

• Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry and filing, to support the pharmacy operations

What we're looking for

• Diploma in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification (recognized by MOH)

• Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals

• Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently

• Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining confidentiality
