Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Executive, Projects Development & Assets plays a pivotal role in bridging MAB’s programme delivery with its infrastructure and financial sustainability. You will be responsible for planning and executing organizational projects, development initiatives, and managing the association’s physical assets effectively to ensure they meet the accessibility needs of the visually impaired community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Projects Development

  • Plan, implement, and monitor projects in line with MAB's strategic goals, particularly those related to project development.

  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Work with the team to explore new initiatives, such as assistive technology research or inclusive entrepreneurship programmes, in collaboration with university partners .

B. Asset Management

  • Maintain and manage a comprehensive register of MAB’s fixed assets, including buildings (training centres), vehicles, Braille printing machinery, assistive technology devices, and office equipment.

  • Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of facilities to ensure they are safe, functional, and accessible for visually impaired trainees and staff.

  • Assist in planning for asset lifecycles, disposals, and acquisitions in compliance with organizational policies.

  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers for the upkeep of the MAB Complex and other centres.

  • Support the preparation of asset-related reports for the Finance Committee and audit purposes.

C. Strategy & Compliance

  • Ensure all projects and asset management practices comply with non-profit governance standards and donor requirements.

  • Collaborate with the Finance team to align asset records with financial reporting.

  • Contribute to the development of policies related to asset utilization and project management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Property/Facilities Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in project coordination or asset/facilities management.

  • Experience in the non-profit/ NGO sector or with community development projects is an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with project management tools and asset management systems is beneficial.
