Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and industry-experienced WSQ Associate/Full-time Trainer to deliver high-impact training in Cybersecurity and Programming (Python/Java). The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical theory and real-world application, helping adult learners upskill or transition into the tech sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training Delivery: Conduct engaging WSQ-standard training sessions for modules relating to Cybersecurity, Network Security, Python Programming Foundations, and Software Design.
2. Assessment & Competency: Administer competency-based assessments (written, practical, and oral questioning) in accordance with SSG's assessment integrity guidelines.
3. Curriculum Contextualization: Tailor training materials and lab environments to reflect current Singapore industry trends, such as PDPA compliance and local cybersecurity threat landscapes.
4. Learner Support: Mentor adult learners from diverse backgrounds, providing technical troubleshooting and guidance for career transitions.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

1. Adult Education Certification: Must possess the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) or Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA).
2. Technical Expertise: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on industry experience in a relevant role.
3. Programming Proficiency: Proficiency in Python is essential, with a strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. Knowledge of Java or C++ is a plus.
4. Cybersecurity Knowledge: Familiarity with NIST frameworks, ethical hacking, incident response, and Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
5. Soft Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical jargon for non-technical audiences.

Preferred Certifications:

1. CompTIA Security+ / CySA+ / PenTest+
2. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
3. Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
4. PCAP – Certified Associate in Python Programming
