We seek driven individuals to join DSTA, where you will design, develop, integrate, test and operationalise command and control systems for the SAF and the Public Service.
Examples Include
- Military Command and Control Information Systems that collect and sense-make real-time information across air, land, and sea domains to allow commanders to take decisive actions
- Next generation battlefield management systems that leverage on the latest developments in artificial intelligence to enhance our defence warfighting capability
- Command and Control Information Systems for Public Service to carry out operations (ranging from daily operations to crisis management) more efficiently
- Operationalising Internet-of-Things solutions coupled with data analytics to provide real-time surveillance and security to SAF camps and bases
SCOPE OF WORK
You will work in a cross-disciplinary team of engineers with experienced mentors, and hone your knowledge of Command & Control Systems to
- Conceptualise innovative solutions using design thinking techniques, which incorporate smart technologies such as sensors / IOT, unmanned systems and information technology
- Leverage on, experiment and evaluate emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence and Big Data to enhance our operational systems with future-ready capabilities such as optimised resource planning, automated decision making, and tasking to response forces to respond to unfolding situations
- Conduct design reviews and tests during system implementation, before transiting it into operational use to bring impactful outcomes for the SAF and the Public Service
- Collaborate and co-develop technologies with leading organisations locally and worldwide to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities to the SAF and the Public Service
- Manage and improve the systems to meet operational requirements
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Data Engineering, Communications, Computer Science / Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline
- Proficiency in Digital Signal Processing, Computer Networking, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence is advantageous
- Innovative and willing to learn new skills and expand into exciting new tech domains
- Dynamic personality with good interpersonal skills; self-driven with a can-do spirit
- Willing to travel for overseas work trips
