Network Security Support Engineer — L1 / L1.5

Location: Changi Business Park, Singapore

Employment Type: 12-month renewable contract

Salary: SGD3,500 to SGD4,000 per month

Working Arrangement: Onsite support with occasional after-hours or night activities when required

Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated Network Security Support Engineer to provide L1 / L1.5 operational support for enterprise firewall environments.

The successful candidate will support daily firewall operations, assist with incident handling and service requests, and participate in scheduled night activities for change implementation or maintenance work when required.

This role is suitable for candidates with early-career experience in network security support who are keen to strengthen their hands-on exposure to enterprise firewall technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1 / L1.5 operational support for firewall-related incidents and service requests.
• Perform initial troubleshooting and basic analysis of firewall connectivity issues.
• Assist with firewall policy checks, rule changes and configuration updates under guidance.
• Support scheduled firewall changes, maintenance activities and implementation tasks.
• Monitor alerts and escalate complex issues to L2 engineers or relevant vendors.
• Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders during incident resolution and change activities.
• Update incident tickets, technical documentation and operational records.
• Participate in occasional after-hours or night activities when scheduled tasks are required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 1 to 3 years of experience in network support, network security operations or firewall support.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLAN, VPN and firewall fundamentals.
• Hands-on exposure to at least one of the following firewall technologies: CheckPoint, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, FortiGate
• Exposure to more than one firewall platform will be an advantage.
• Able to perform basic troubleshooting, follow operational procedures and escalate issues appropriately.
• Comfortable supporting occasional night activities or after-hours maintenance tasks when required.
• Good communication, coordination and documentation skills.
• Willing to work onsite at Changi Business Park.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant certifications such as Check Point CCSA, Palo Alto PCCET or PCNSA, Fortinet certification, CCNA or equivalent.
• Experience working in an enterprise environment, managed services environment or Network Operations Centre.
• Familiarity with ITIL incident, request and change management processes.

Due to hiring quota issue, successful incumbent should be Singapore citizen or with Singapore Permanent Resident status.
