Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Mechanical Engineer role based in Greater George Town. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the design and development of mechanical systems and assemblies for test automation equipment, lab infrastructure, and related products. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing detailed 3D models and drawings, performing mechanical calculations, selecting suitable materials and components, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements. The role involves collaborating closely with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to support prototyping, testing, and design validation, as well as resolving engineering issues during build and commissioning. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, guide junior engineers, and support customer-facing technical reviews and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong core engineering foundation, including Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design, with proven experience designing complex assemblies and mechanisms.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) for 3D modeling, detailed drawings, and design documentation.
• Experience in Project Management, including planning, tracking milestones, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering projects on time and within scope.
• Hands-on involvement in Research and Development (R&D), including concept generation, feasibility studies, prototyping, and design validation testing.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience in automated test equipment, instrumentation, semiconductor, or electronics manufacturing environments is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret engineering standards, apply tolerance stack-ups, and work with manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, and fabrication.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
