Responsibilities

What The Role Is

What You Will Be Working On

  • Work with stakeholders within IRAS and across the Government to assess and manage data requests, facilitating data sharing to support better public policy making and more responsive public services.
  • Conceptualise, review and implement IRAS’ data strategy and policies relating to data management, data classification, data protection, and data security, to encourage pervasive and responsible use of data for better-informed policies and improved service delivery.
  • Identify, pilot, and implement process improvements and automation solutions across data sharing, management, and governance to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support and maintain oversight of data sharing and utilisation within the Government, ensuring the full value of data is maximised in a robust and secure manner.
  • Develop and strengthen IRAS staff competencies and capabilities in data management practices.

What We Are Looking For

  • A degree in any discipline, preferably with a background in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field with a strong emphasis on analytical skills.
  • Strong data extraction and manipulation skills, with proficiency in Python and SAS
  • Proficiency in productivity and visualisation tools such as Power Automate, Power BI, and AI-assisted tools to improve processes, enhance data quality, and generate insights.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and manage relationships across multiple and diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Resourceful, self-driven, and motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative

Being competent in the following areas is advantageous:

  • Strong data analytics skills with a working knowledge of statistics and econometrics, enabling you to derive meaningful insights and support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience in building process automation workflows and business visualisation dashboards, with the ability to drive efficiency through technology
