Responsibilities
In this role, you will take ownership of designing, implementing, and maintaining our critical network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a detail-oriented approach, strong analytical capabilities, and a commitment to operational excellence. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure our network systems are secure, efficient, and optimized for organizational needs.
Qualifications
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Design and implement scalable network architectures that support current and future business requirements
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and identify optimization opportunities
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
- Configure and manage routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and ensure optimal network performance
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewall policies and access controls
- Collaborate with IT teams, system administrators, and vendors to support network operations
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures to maintain organized and accessible records
- Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements with minimal downtime
- Ensure compliance with security standards and industry best practices
- Mentor junior network engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
- Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and tools to enhance operational efficiency
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in network engineering and infrastructure management
- Advanced knowledge of network architecture, design principles, and best practices
- Proficiency with routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGREP, and similar technologies)
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent
- Strong expertise in network security, firewalls, VPNs, and access control mechanisms
- Demonstrated experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds)
- Proficiency in analyzing network performance and optimizing network efficiency
- Solid understanding of cloud networking platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve issues systematically
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Relevant vendor certifications (Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIE, or equivalent) required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) technologies and concepts
- Knowledge of network automation and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, or similar)
- Experience with network virtualization and containerization technologies
- Proven leadership or mentoring experience with junior technical staff
- Familiarity with network compliance and regulatory requirements
