Altus also offers integrated logistics solutions, including project logistics, shipping agency services, freight forwarding, and supply base management. Role Description The Technical Sales Marine role is a full-time, hybrid position based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, with a balance of office work, client visits, site visits, and some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves identifying and developing new marine-related business opportunities, preparing proposals, and delivering technical presentations to clients in the marine, oil and gas, and logistics segments. The Technical Sales Marine professional will collaborate with internal technical and operations teams to understand service capabilities, prepare quotations, and ensure accurate scope definition. Daily responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, conducting market research, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and following up on leads to meet revenue targets. The role also includes attending industry events, supporting tender preparation, ensuring compliance with company policies and HSE standards, and providing regular sales reports and forecasts to management.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marine environments, with skills in Marine Operations and Maritime practices, and familiarity with vessel or rig activities.
  • Background in naval, offshore, or related sectors, including exposure to Navy or boat operations, is an advantage.
  • Ability to train clients and internal stakeholders on marine service offerings and technical product features.
  • Proven technical sales or business development experience in marine, oil and gas, or related industries.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear commercial proposals.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid setup in WP. Kuala Lumpur, with readiness to travel to client sites, ports, and offshore-related locations as required.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Studies, Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to build long-term client relationships, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and meet sales targets ethically and safely.
