Senior Portfolio & Project Management Executive (F&B), Malaysia


The Senior Portfolio & Project Management Executive will lead local portfolio strategy and project initiatives end-to-end from planning and screening to customer implementation and product launch. You will be partnering with regional and commercial teams to identify market opportunities, deliver accurate sales forecasts and build strong customer relationships that drive revenue growth.



The Position:
  • Lead local portfolio initiatives across the full cycle from planning, screening and shortlisting through customer implementation.
  • Provide timely recommendations on optimal flavors and products that meet customer needs and requirements
  • Analyse project pipelines, market needs and emerging trends to identify potential flavor gaps, collaborating with the regional team to address and fill identified opportunities
  • Develop, manage and regularly review the effectiveness of local portfolio library to ensure it remains relevant and competitive
  • Support the Commercial team in rolling out promotions and category initiatives across the market
  • Manage and deliver accurate sales forecasts, meet sales targets and oversee accounts receivable for allocated accounts
  • Establish close and effective relationships with customer decision makers to drive engagement and long-term partnership
  • Deliver and follow up on customer submissions, converting pipeline opportunities into wins and managing commercialization through product launch.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in portfolio management, preferably within the food or flavor industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data, identify gaps and translate insights into actionable portfolio strategies
  • Proven sensory evaluation skills with the ability to assess, differentiate and select flavors that meet customer and market needs
  • Proactive and self-driven with a track record of taking initiative and seeing projects through completion with minimal supervision
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across full project lifecycle
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage and influence customer decision makers and cross functional teams.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in sales forecasting and account management
