Job Description
Project Ownership & Delivery
- Take full ownership of fabrication projects from PO/contract award to final delivery and project close-out.
- Develop, maintain, and control detailed project schedules, milestones, and execution plans in collaboration with local PFC teams.
- Monitor project progress against schedule, cost, and scope, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, delays, and execution issues.
- Ensure all fabrication activities comply with GF’s safety, quality, technical, and commercial standards.
- Manage contractual obligations including extensions of time (EOTs), variations, change orders, and claims in line with contract terms.
- Ensure lessons learned are captured and fed back into the PFC APAC organization for continuous improvement.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary customer-facing contact post-award, managing all executionstage communications.
- Install data interfaces to customer
- Provide structured and regular project updates, progress reports, and issue resolution to customers.
- Manage customer expectations by clearly communicating scope, schedule impacts, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Coordinate and align internal stakeholders including engineering, planning, production,
QA/QC, procurement, and logistics.
- Escalate critical risks or issues in a timely manner to PFC APAC leadership with clear recommendations.
Technical & Documentation Oversight
- Work closely with local and global PFC, design, and engineering teams to ensure all technical deliverables are issued on time and to the required standard.
- Ensure availability, accuracy, and control of key project documentation including IFC drawings, BOMs, schedules, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and technical submittals.
- Review and manage technical clarifications, deviations, and customer comments in coordination with engineering and quality teams when required.
Financial & Commercial Control
- Monitor project budgets, including material, labour, subcontracting, logistics costs.
- Track project profitability, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Identify scope changes, variations, and commercial impacts early, preparing supporting documentation and seeking customer approval.
- Support internal financial reporting, forecasting, and margin tracking for Head of PFC APAC.
Onsite Support Supervision
- Establish and coordinate appropriate onsite supervision and support teams for large scale or critical fabrication projects.
- Define roles, responsibilities, and reporting structures for onsite personnel.
- Ensure onsite activities align with project schedules, safety requirements, and contractual scope.
Job Requirements
- 3-7+ years’ experience in project management or senior project engineering.
- Experience in fabrication, piping, mechanical, or industrial engineering projects.
- Engineering qualifications preferred (Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial).
- PMP qualification preferred
- Experience in running multiple large fabrication projects across different locations
- Language proficiency: English for contractual negotiations
