Responsibilities
About the Role
We’re looking for a meticulous and dedicated professional to support data collection and data review activities within SPHS research projects. You’ll play a key part in performing and analysing dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scans and ensuring the quality and integrity of research data.
What You’ll Do
Obtain informed consent from research participants
Perform bone densitometry and whole body composition scans on 20 participants per health screening session
Conduct regular quality control, equipment calibration, and maintenance checks
Review scans for correct positioning and image acquisition parameters, and document artefacts
Analyse images to derive the bone density and body composition consistently, ensuring that the previous scanning parameters are adhered
Manage the inventory of consumables used in the DXA facility
Ensure the safety and privacy of research participants by adhering to best practices.
Support other population health research activities as needed
