Boolland is a web development studio based in Malaysia. We help brands across Southeast Asia build Shopify eCommerce websites using clean code, great UI, and solid user experience.

We're a small, fast-moving team — which means the work you do matters and you'll see it go live for real clients. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys frontend development, takes ownership of their work, and wants to grow through real-world projects.

Role Overview

You'll be part of our frontend team, turning designs into responsive, high-quality eCommerce websites. Here's how a project flows with us, so you know exactly where you fit:

1. Onboarding — our Sales team meets the client and gathers requirements.
2. UI/UX Design — our designers prepare the full design in Figma.
3. Development (you) — you convert the Figma design into a responsive website, built as clean, modular, reusable sections so the client's non-technical staff can maintain their own store later.
4. Handover & Training (you) — you help transfer the project and train the client to use their new platform.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain websites using HTML, CSS & vanilla JavaScript
• Convert Figma UI/UX designs into responsive, mobile-friendly layouts
• Build pages as modular, reusable sections that merchants can maintain themselves
• Learn and work with Shopify Liquid (training provided)
• Debug layouts, fix styling issues, and improve page performance
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
• Help hand over completed projects and train clients to use their store
• Work closely with designers & senior developers
• Deliver tasks within agreed timelines

• We use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) in our workflow and you're encouraged to as well — what matters is that you understand and can stand behind the code you ship.

• Work Arrangement: 100% Remote (we also have an office in Petaling Jaya — you're welcome to work there)
• Working Hours: Flexible — we focus on results, not clock-in times
• Equipment: You'll use your own laptop; an accurate screen/colour display matters for frontend work
