This is not a pure management role.

Expected focus:

• Approximately 70% hands-on execution

• Approximately 30% leadership and coordination

What you'll do

• Own engineering outcomes across delivery, quality, reliability, scalability and operational excellence

• Lead and coordinate the engineering team across development, testing, release management and production operations

• Establish and maintain engineering standards, processes and execution discipline

• Work closely with the Founder to translate ideas and business requirements into structured product and engineering execution

• Participate in product design discussions, refine workflows, identify edge cases and help shape practical solutions before development begins

• Drive alignment across engineering, product and business priorities while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Identify technical and operational risks proactively and build mechanisms to reduce avoidable issues

• Improve team effectiveness through better processes, AI-assisted workflows and continuous operational improvements

What we're looking for

• Strong hands-on engineering experience with a track record of building and delivering products end-to-end

• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and own engineering outcomes

• High emotional intelligence with excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills

• Strong ownership, judgment and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance business needs, user impact and engineering constraints

• Broad understanding of software engineering, system architecture, security and engineering best practices

• Strong product and user mindset, with the ability to translate ideas into practical solutions and execution plans

• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI effectively to improve engineering productivity, quality and team execution

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities and limited resources
