Our client, a reputable ship owner company, is seeking a dynamic professional to join their regional agency management team, supporting agency operations, cost management, and business performance initiatives across overseas agency networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the regional point of contact for agency companies, providing guidance and support to ensure alignment with corporate strategies, operational objectives, and governance requirements.
- Monitor agency operations and performance across the region, including reviewing activities, addressing operational issues, and obtaining necessary approvals in accordance with Delegation of Authority guidelines.
- Oversee agency-related operating costs through regular monitoring and analysis of SG&A expenses, including budget versus actual reviews to ensure cost efficiency and financial discipline.
- Analyse agency revenue performance, operating costs, and cash flow to identify opportunities for profitability enhancement, cost optimisation, and bottom-line improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and administer agency-related documentation, including agency agreements, corporate profiles, internal guidelines, and governance records.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support regional projects, operational improvements, and other business initiatives as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Maritime Studies, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably within shipping, maritime, logistics, or regional corporate functions.
- Prior experience working in a Headquarters (HQ) environment is preferred, particularly within back-office, corporate, or operational support functions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Experience in project management, business process improvement, or management of subsidiaries / overseas entities will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, forecasting, and planning capabilities with a logical and structured mindset.
- Positive, proactive, and self-driven individual with strong initiative and ownership.
- Candidates must be willing to relocate to regional/global office as part of rotation program.
