Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Accounting Manager to lead the revamp of our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting—covering accounts receivable and payable, general ledger management, month-end/year-end close, reconciliations, statutory reporting support, and audit coordination. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and improve accounting operations to enhance accuracy, timeliness, documentation standards, and internal controls.
Lead the accounting team by setting close timelines, reviewing work quality, and coaching on accounting standards and best practices.
Oversee accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accurate posting, timely billing/collections and payments, and subledger-to-GL reconciliations.
Oversee banking administration, including bank account maintenance, payment platform setup, system upgrades, and resolution of banking/payment issues.
Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documents, responding to queries, and addressing control/compliance gaps.
Own month-end and year-end close, including accruals/prepayments, cut-off procedures, intercompany (if applicable), and on-time deliverables.
Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting packs (P&L, balance sheet, cash movement) with reconciled schedules.
Partner with operations and HR on accounting workflows (billing, vendor onboarding, expenses, payroll inputs), ensuring complete documentation and correct treatment.
Oversee cash operations, including payment runs and cashbook/bank reconciliations, to maintain accurate cash balances.
Coordinate with auditors and tax advisors, managing information requests and statutory/tax compliance deliverables.
Drive continuous improvement by implementing process changes and system upgrades to strengthen controls and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with a focus on operations.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Experience with financial reporting, month-end/year-end close, bookkeeping, and auditing.
Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, basic formulas).
Proficient in accounting software and financial management systems.
