Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Chiller & Freezer Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, including chillers, freezers, cold rooms, and related equipment. The technician will ensure all systems operate efficiently and comply with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of chiller and freezer systems.

· Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in refrigeration equipment.

· Conduct preventive maintenance according to scheduled plans.

· Troubleshoot compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, and control systems.

· Monitor refrigerant levels and handle refrigerants safely according to regulations.

· Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance calls.

· Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance records.

· Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.

· Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for spare parts and technical support when necessary.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and energy efficiency.

Requirements

· Certificate/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

· Minimum 2–5 years of experience in refrigeration/chiller/freezer maintenance.

· Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting.

· Familiar with commercial refrigeration brands such as Sanden, Panasonic, Kuhler, and Liebherr.

· Experience with commercial cold rooms, freezer rooms, and industrial chillers is an advantage.

· Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

· Familiar with safety standards and refrigerant handling procedures.

· Good problem-solving and communication skills.

· Willing to work on standby, overtime, or shift schedules if required.

· Possess valid driving license (preferred).

Preferred Skills

· Knowledge of HVAC control systems.

· Experience with ammonia or Freon-based systems.

· Preventive maintenance planning experience.

· Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.

Working Conditions

· Work may involve exposure to cold environments, confined spaces, and machinery noise.

· Required to lift tools and equipment when necessary.

· May require travel between multiple sites or branches.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
