Riri’s Children Playloft is a calm, Japanese-inspired children’s toy museum designed around meaningful, open-ended play. We curate beautifully crafted wooden toys and create a gentle, thoughtfully designed environment for both families and preschool learning journeys.
About the Role
We are looking for warm, confident and proactive individuals to join us as Play Guides who are also able to facilitate preschool programmes.
This is a hands-on role where you will engage children meaningfully, guide small group experiences, and contribute to the overall quality and atmosphere of the space.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Facilitation- Facilitate preschool learning journeys (e.g. sensory, lights & shadow, movement-based programmes)
- Engage children through storytelling, observation and guided play
- Hold the attention of small groups in a calm and confident manner
- Prepare and reset materials thoughtfully before and after sessions
Play Guide & Experience- Welcome families and create a calm, inviting experience from arrival
- Engage children in a respectful and meaningful way during free play
- Support front-of-house operations (e.g. check-ins, POS, basic enquiries)
- Maintain the space, toys and shared facilities to a high standard of cleanliness and care
- Reset and organise the environment throughout the day to preserve its quality
- Assist with parties and events as part of the overall experience
Requirements
- Comfortable working with young children (ages 2–7)
- Confident guiding and engaging small groups of children
- Warm, observant and able to respond to children thoughtfully
- Responsible, detail-oriented, meticulous and takes pride in maintaining a well-kept space
- Willing to take on both facilitation and operational responsibilities
