Job Summary

Windows on Arm Validation Technician

Responsibilities

• Support the WOA Validation Engineering team by executing testing and validation activities to ensure product quality
• Disassemble and assemble computer hardware to perform maintenance and setup tasks efficiently
• Install and upgrade Windows on Arm (WOA) operating systems, drivers, and BIOS firmware to maintain system performance
• Run diagnostic tests, troubleshoot issues, and document findings to facilitate timely resolution
• Reproduce reported issues and validate fixes by collecting and analyzing test logs for accurate triage and debugging
• Complete all assigned test requests within deadlines and communicate any schedule changes proactively
• Use bug tracking tools and databases to submit detailed bug reports and classify severity levels accurately
• Conduct ad-hoc testing on new software and firmware components to support development and quality assurance
• Develop, modify, and execute simple scripts using Python or other programming languages to automate testing tasks
• Provide regular updates and feedback on testing progress and propose improvements to test plans
• Manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously and deliver results on schedule

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Knowledge of PC hardware and software components
• Proficiency with Windows OS, including driver installation, BIOS upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with Windows on Arm (WOA) platform
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to hardware and software validation
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate within teams and report issues clearly
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative for continuous learning
