We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sommelier to join our team and elevate our guests’ dining experience through exceptional wine service and beverage expertise.
The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of wines, regions, vintages, and food pairings, along with excellent customer engagement skills. You will be responsible for curating memorable wine experiences while supporting beverage operations and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional wine recommendations and food pairing suggestions to guests
- Deliver high standards of wine service in a fine dining environment
- Curate and maintain the restaurant’s wine list in collaboration with management
- Monitor wine inventory, stock levels, ordering, and cellar organisation
- Ensure proper wine storage, handling, and serving temperatures
- Conduct staff training on wine knowledge and beverage service standards
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and support wine procurement activities
- Upsell premium wines and beverages to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Maintain excellent product knowledge of wines, spirits, sake, and other beverages
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and service standards
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Sommelier in fine dining or upscale hospitality establishments
- Certified Sommelier by Court of Master Sommeliers or WSET Level 3 certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of international wines, wine regions, vintages, and pairing techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage service confidently
- Positive attitude, leadership qualities, and team-oriented mindset
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
