Development / Merchandising Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Development / Merchandising Assistant to support our product development and merchandising teams in managing customer orders from concept through production.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist merchandising and product development teams with daily order management and customer follow-up

  • Coordinate with overseas factories, suppliers, and internal production teams across Asia

  • Support development of garments including fabric sourcing, trims, fit samples, and proto submissions

  • Track sample timelines, approvals, lab dips, fabrics, and production status

  • Prepare and maintain purchase orders, costing sheets, T&A calendars, and order summaries

  • Communicate with customers regarding development updates, shipment schedules, and approvals

  • Monitor production progress to ensure deadlines and quality standards are achieved

  • Assist with packing details, shipping documents, and logistics coordination

  • Organize and maintain merchandising records, sample libraries, and development files

  • Support senior merchandisers with ad hoc projects and operational tasks


Requirements
  • 1–3 years of experience in apparel merchandising, sourcing, product development, or garment trading preferred

  • Fresh graduates with relevant internships or fashion/textile education may also be considered

  • Knowledge of garment manufacturing processes and production timelines

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and basic reporting tools

  • Experience working with overseas factories and suppliers is an advantage

  • Fluency in English required; Cantonese and/or Mandarin preferred
