We are seeking a passionate and service-oriented Assistant Sommelier to join our fine-dining Italian restaurant. The successful candidate will assist in wine service operations, provide wine recommendations to guests, support inventory management, and work closely with the Head Sommelier to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist guests with wine selections and food pairing recommendations.
• Present, open, decant, and serve wines according to established service standards.
• Maintain wine inventory and monitor stock levels.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of wines.
• Assist in beverage ordering, stocktaking, and inventory control.
• Support the maintenance and updating of wine lists.
• Conduct basic wine training and product knowledge sharing with service staff.
• Work closely with kitchen and service teams to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace safety, and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Support restaurant operations and perform other duties as assigned by Management.
