As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Workshop Technician to join our Singapore team. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role supports onshore operations involving Claxton-owned and third-party equipment, while developing the technical competence required to independently plan and execute workshop activities as a fully capable Technician.
The role is broad and hands-on, covering equipment maintenance, job planning, equipment preparation, mobilisation and demobilisation, troubleshooting, site support, and operational reporting to the Workshop Manager.
The Technician will also be responsible for the servicing, repair, and testing of Marine Technology systems, as well as supporting new build projects. This includes planned maintenance and repair of company-owned equipment such as water abrasive cutting systems, mechanical cutting equipment, friction stud welding systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, subsea dredging equipment, and other marine technology assets.
Duties/Responsibilities
Support onshore drilling and decommissioning project activities
Carry out equipment maintenance, servicing, testing, and repairs
Prepare equipment for mobilisation, load-out, and operational readiness
Assist with warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling
Perform equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and pre-mobilisation checks
Maintain housekeeping standards across workshop and warehouse facilities
Support project mobilisation and demobilisation activities
Operate forklifts safely in support of workshop and yard operations
Ensure compliance with company procedures, HSE requirements, and industry standards
Prepare operational and equipment condition reports, highlighting any repair requirements

Requirements
Education
Nitec or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Hydraulic)
Experience/Skills:
Preferred
Knowledge of mechanical, high-pressure pump and hydraulic equipment
Awareness and understanding of offshore decommissioning work scopes and operations
Electrical background with experience in electrical systems, equipment, or troubleshooting activities
Essential
Strong troubleshooting skills with engines/power packs and hands-on experience
