Role & Responsibilities:
Logistic Coordination
- Prepare complete set of documents such as Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Health Certificate, Free Sales Certificate, Certificate of Origins, Marine Insurance, and various permits (MAQIS, MITI, SIRIM, MIDA etc).
- Maintain proper records of shipment data, systematic filing and storage of shipping documents for audit purpose.
- To plan, coordinate, and execute shipments to meet customer requirements, considering cost, transit time, and delivery deadlines.
- To monitor shipment progress and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.
- To be responsible for the MIDA and treasury for duty import exemption.
- To ensure the Duty Exemption application is being processed timely to avoid loss to the company.
- To ensure smooth Customs clearance for import goods and adhere to production schedule.
Customs Compliance
- To observe the latest changes of MIDA, CUSTOM, SST, and any new regulation related to importing and company licensing and make strategies to adapt to the change for risk mitigation.
- To communicate effectively and build relationships inside and outside organizations with Custom, MIDA, and forwarders
Supply Chain Management
- Ensure Production Department/Store Department on statue import movement.
- To coordinate with warehouse personnel to optimize inventory management and facilitate smooth order fulfilment.
- To develop and implement shipping strategies to minimize costs and improve overall efficiency.
- To continuously evaluate and improve shipping processes to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce lead times.
- To be responsible for managing and controlling forwarders for importing procedures.
- To ensure adequate communication with the forwarder for best price and term negotiation.
- To perform Vendor Evaluation & Vendor Rating System for forwarder.
- To assist in developing and managing vendor Risk assessment system to control risk of the supply chain at the minimum level.
- To carry out any other duties as directed by the company.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Candidate must possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or a related field.
- Minimum two to three years of experience in a similar role or in a managerial capacity or/and leading in managing the inbound from Manufacturing, Semiconductor, and electronic sectors.
- Familiar with Malaysian government importing policy and procedure including MIDA exemption application, Customs clearance procedure, Tariff Code, forwarding rules & etc.
- High sensitivity to change of regulation to derive an action plan for minimizing disruption of importing goods.
- Full understanding of the sales and production cycle of the air-conditioning industry and being able to communicate with customs officers, and MIDA officers to achieve high efficiency in importing goods.
- Possess good communication skills, team building centric and management skills
