Job Summary

To support new product introduction (NPI), production engineering activities, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities including prototype builds, pilot runs, troubleshooting, and engineering validation during product transfer to manufacturing.

• Work closely with R&D and cross-functional teams to resolve technical and production-related issues during product development and ramp-up stages.

• Monitor production performance, analyze recurring technical issues, and drive corrective and preventive actions for continuous improvement.

• Perform software and firmware version verification for production models to ensure smooth manufacturing execution.

• Prepare and maintain production documentation including assembly instructions, work procedures, and process flow updates.

• Oversee production line abnormalities, monitor testing equipment conditions, and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.

• Support engineering change implementation (ECR/ECO) and ensure changes are executed accurately within production.

• Analyze repair and maintenance data to identify failure trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.

• Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel to enhance operational competency and product quality.

• Lead and coordinate rework activities, including preparation of rework methods and monitoring execution effectiveness.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve manufacturing efficiency, yield, and overall product reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or other related engineering disciplines.

• Minimum 1 year of working experience in manufacturing, production engineering, NPI, or related engineering environment / proven work experience as a Product Engineer or similar role.

• Exposure to digital or RF (Radio Frequency) products and basic understanding of RF/digital testing concepts will be an added advantage.

• Able to interpret schematic diagrams, PCB layouts, and electronic circuit designs.

• Familiar with electronic manufacturing processes, troubleshooting, and technical support functions.

• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Fast learner with strong attention to detail and willingness to take on new challenges.

• Must be able to be base in Perai, Penang.
