Key Responsibilities

1. Apply in-depth product and process knowledge in log and veneer processing, including log grading, wood species identification, rotary peeling, veneer drying, and defect control

2. Monitor and control critical quality parameters such as veneer thickness consistency, moisture content, recovery rate, and defect classification (e.g. splits, knots, decay, overlaps)

3. Optimize rotary peeling operations, including lathe settings, knife angle, and pressure bar adjustments to improve veneer yield and quality

4. Oversee and fine-tune veneer drying processes, including drying curve, temperature control, and moisture stabilization

5. Conduct detailed root cause analysis (RCA) on veneer-related defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

6. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance raw material utilization, reduce wastage, and improve production efficiency

7. Act as a technical liaison with overseas experts (mainly China), machinery suppliers, and regional teams for troubleshooting and process enhancement

8. Interpret and implement technical documentation, SOPs, and processing standards from international stakeholders

9. Support technology transfer and implementation of advanced processing techniques (especially from China) into local operations

10. Provide technical training and guidance to production teams on log handling, veneer processing, and quality standards

11. Ensure compliance with export quality requirements and international manufacturing standards (PEFC/FSC etc)
