Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Social Work Associate supports frontline service delivery by triaging enquiries, managing client intakes, providing online counselling support, and assisting social workers/counsellors in case management—especially for complex cases.

Key Responsibilities

1) Enquiry Triage and Client Navigation

  • Triage incoming enquiries (walk-in/phone/email/digital channels), gather relevant information, and assess urgency and service fit.
  • Provide clear information on available services, eligibility, and next steps; facilitate appropriate referrals to internal/external resources where required.
  • Identify risk indicators (e.g., safety concerns, family violence, acute distress) and escalate according to protocols.

2) Intake Management

  • Manage end-to-end intake workflow, including scheduling, intake documentation, consent/PDPA-related forms, and baseline information collection.
  • Conduct initial intake interviews (in-person/phone/online) within scope, ensuring accurate and sensitive information gathering.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and intake status tracking to support timely assignment and follow-up.

3) Case Management Support (Complex Cases)

  • Coordinate case-related logistics, such as appointments, inter-agency communications, and other required follow-ups
  • Assist with documentation, case notes, reports, and information collation for case discussions, reviews, and referrals.
  • Support continuity of care through client reminders, check-ins, and linkage to community resources (as directed).

4) Online Counselling Support

  • Provide online counselling sessions within organizational scope, competency, and supervision arrangements.
  • Escalate risk issues and complex clinical concerns in accordance with protocols.
  • Document sessions promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality

5) Networking and liaison with stakeholder

  • Support by liaising with key stakeholders
  • Documenting reports and information as required by funders
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma in Social Science or related discipline.
  • Digitally comfortable, service orientated, client-centric, meticulous, proactive, accountable and able to work under pressure
  • Able to work on weekends and weekday evenings
