 What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Strong understanding of construction cost management, contract administration, and project financial control
• Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with the construction industry in Malaysia
• Possess valid driving license and willing to travel when required
• Candidates holding a CIDB Green Card are preferred
• Immediate availability is an added advantage
• Proficiency in Mandarin is increasingly preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

BHD. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Alor Gajah, Melaka.  As a full-time Quantity Surveyor (QS) Senior Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring their successful delivery. 

What you'll be doing

• Manage and lead a team of quantity surveyors, providing guidance and mentorship
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects
• Evaluate quotations, negotiate prices, and manage procurement processes
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures remain within budget
• Prepare progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts
• Measure quantities and verify subcontractor claims and payments
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Conduct cost analysis and recommend cost-saving solutions
• Ensure all contractual and commercial matters are properly managed
• Maintain accurate project costing records and documentation
• Assist in contract administration and project financial reporting
• Review construction drawings and specifications for quantity take-off
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and contractual requirements
