 What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Extensive experience 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Knowledge of construction methods, engineering standards, and local regulations.
• Good technical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering-related software is an added advantage.
• Possess valid driving license and willing to travel when required
• Candidates holding a CIDB Green Card are preferred
• Immediate availability is an added advantage
• Proficiency in Mandarin is increasingly preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

About the role 

HUATAI CONSTRUCTION (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at our project site in Alor Gajah, Melaka. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting construction operations and ensuring project delivery meets quality, safety, and timeline requirements. 

What you'll be doing

• Plan, coordinate and supervise civil engineering and daily construction works.
• Monitor site progress, quality control and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities.
• Prepare and review project schedules, progress reports, and technical documentation.
• Ensure projects are completed within timeline and budget requirements.
• Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical or engineering issues.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and cost control.
• Assist in project planning, material estimation, and procurement coordination.
• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements and industry standards.
• Attend site meetings and prepare meeting reports.
• Verify contractor claims, work progress, and site measurements.
• Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Ensure workplace safety and compliance with construction safety requirements.
