Job Description

Responsibilities

Position Overview

This role is responsible for driving the growth of the SAP Business One (SAP B1) and other application business by leading pre-sales engagements, managing implementation projects, and overseeing the delivery team. The ideal candidate combines strong functional/technical expertise, excellent customer communication skills, and proven leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

A. Pre-Sales Responsibilities

  • Conduct requirement discovery sessions with prospective customers.
  • Design SAP B1-based / other application solutions that align with customer business processes.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and PoC configurations.
  • Support RFI/RFP responses, quotations, and proposal creation.
  • Work closely with the sales team to define project scope, cost, and timelines.
  • Maintain good business relationship and experienced with existing customers and prospects.
  • Sourcing and qualifying opportunities either from existing customers or new prospect currently not served by the division. Identify key prospects and build targeted account plans to create robust business growth pipeline.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners and position Hitachi Sunway as a trusted advisor to the customers and partners.


B. Project Management Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and manage implementation projects from kick-off to go-live.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and risk assessments.
  • Lead requirement workshops, blueprint creation, and functional design.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure project delivery meets scope, quality expectations, and budget.
  • Coordinate testing, data migration, UAT sessions, and cutover activities.
  • Provide post go-live support and ensure smooth transition to support teams.
  • Participate in the development of project proposals, estimates, and budget.
  • Manage project plans, assign tasks, and oversee the work of the team to ensure project timelines are met.
  • To ensure quality of work always delivered and maintain professionalism.


C. Team Lead Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor consultants (functional & technical).
  • Provide guidance on solution design, best practices, and delivery standards.
  • Oversee team workload distribution and project assignments.
  • Conduct performance reviews, skill development, and internal training.
  • Drive knowledge sharing and documentation across the team.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new consultants.
  • Work cross functionally to build strong relationships with key customers.
  • Division business objectives. Plan will vary year to year accordingly to the new year targets and budgets.
  • Participate and report in periodic reviews to ensure accuracy in sales forecasting revenue recognition forecasting and opportunity management.
  • Provide timely accounts progress updates.
  • Responsible in maintaining and updating the company's customer and prospect
  • Coordination of all necessary internal and external resources to best position the firm to secure the business.
  • Adhere strictly the internal SOP set by Hitachi Sunway and Hitachi Global compliance processes.
  • Work closely with sales team who is responsible for Inquiry to Sales processing which includes preparation of quotations, proposals, tender participations, sales presentations, Service Order Form signed off, and PO/invoice preparation processes.
  • Work with other members of the regional team to anticipate and respond to a variety of business needs.
  • To lead and manage a team of consultants and provide functional guidance, support and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and product knowledge.



Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical / Functional Skills

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP Business One (functional or techno-functional).
  • Understanding of SAP B1 modules: finance, logistics, inventory, sales, purchasing, production.
  • Experience with SAP B1 ad-ons, Integrations, SOL, Or HAN platorm is
  • Ability to design end-to-end business processes using SAP B1.
  • Knowledge of SME industry requirements across multiple sectors is an advantage.


Project & Leadership Skills

  • Proven project management experience in ERP implementations.
  • Strong team leadership and ability to manage multi-role delivery teams.
  • Ability to manage customer expectations and drive project governance.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.


Experience

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in SAP Business One implementations.
  • Experience as Project Manager or Team Lead is highly preferred.
  • Pre-sales or solution consulting experience is a significant advantage.
