Responsibilities
Responsible for managing inbound inquiries, developing opportunities, and converting qualified leads into awarded projects. Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams.
1. Inquiry & Opportunity Management
Handle customer inquiries received via email, phone, referrals, and existing accounts.
Qualify opportunities, understand customer needs, and follow up systematically until closure.
Maintain sales pipeline and update opportunity status regularly.
2. Project Understanding & Requirement Gathering
Understand technical and commercial requirements of customer projects.
Translate customer needs into clear internal scope for proposal development.
Coordinate site visits, meetings, and technical discussions when required.
3. Proposal, Quotation & Pricing
Work closely with Application / Engineering team to prepare technical proposals, costing, and quotations.
Ensure pricing is accurate, commercially viable, and aligned with project scope.
Prepare revisions, clarifications, and commercial comparisons when required.
4. Commercial Negotiation & Closing
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract conditions with customers and suppliers.
Drive quotation follow-up and conversion into Purchase Orders / contracts.
Protect company margin while achieving win-win outcomes.
5. Project Coordination After Award
Conduct internal handover to Project / Engineering team upon receipt of Purchase Order or order confirmation.
Coordinate project schedules, documentation, FAT, delivery planning, installation arrangements, and customer updates.
Support smooth execution until project completion, invoicing, and payment collection.
6. Customer Communication & Relationship Management
Maintain professional and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Resolve commercial or coordination issues promptly.
Build long-term relationships to secure repeat business and referrals.
7. Technical & Commercial Competency
Develop strong understanding of company products, automation solutions, and project processes.
Ensure proposed solutions meet technical needs and commercial objectives.
8. Reporting & Performance
Prepare weekly/monthly reports on inquiries, quotations, awarded projects, and pipeline status.
Achieve assigned sales, gross profit, and conversion targets.
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.
Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
Applicants must be willing to work in Puchong Selangor HQ.
Must possess own car with valid driving license
1 or 2 years of project management roles would be advantageous.
