Job Description
We are looking for a committed and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support procurement activities in our gold jewellery wholesale business. This role involves assisting in jewellery purchasing, supplier coordination, inventory monitoring, and handling gold price-related purchasing matters to ensure smooth daily operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing gold jewellery products from suppliers and manufacturers.
- Support daily purchasing activities, including issuing purchase orders and following up on deliveries.
- Monitor gold market price movements and assist in purchase planning based on pricing trends.
- Liaise with suppliers on quotations, pricing, order status, product availability, and delivery schedules.
- Assist in product costing, price comparison, and supplier evaluation.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments on special orders, stock replenishment, and urgent purchases.
- Verify incoming jewellery stocks against purchase orders, invoices, weight, and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, costing, inventory reports, and supplier documentation.
- Assist in stock control, inventory reconciliation, and periodic stock take.
- Support management in procurement planning and other ad-hoc purchasing duties.
Job Requirements & Qualification:
- Diploma / Certificate in Business Administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain or related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in purchasing or administration.
- Fresh graduates with strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
- Required language(s): Mandarin, English & Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal. Candidates fluent in mandarin preferred as the role requires candidates to deal with supplier and enter the order/details into the system.
- Good analytical, negotiation and coordination skills.
- Meticulous and accurate in handling product details, weights, pricing and documentation.
- Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work overtime (for special occurrence).
- Able to start immediately or within short notice.

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
