Your Role:
As an Analog IC Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of analog and mixed-signal ICs specifically for MCU targeting both low power and high performance industrial applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, low-power solutions for a variety of applications. Your expertise in analog design, simulation, and layout will be crucial in driving the success of our products.
- Architecture: Design analog architecture from product specifications. Discuss with product manager on potential performance of each architecture to meet product specifications requirements. Define SPEC for analog circuits based on product specifications.
- Circuit Design: Design and develop analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits, including DCDC, voltage regulators LDO, bandgap, PLLs, ADC, DAC, oscillator, OPA, comparator, and other analog circuits.
- Simulation and Modelling: Perform circuit simulations using tools like SPICE, Spectre, or similar to verify circuit functionality and performance to meet all the PVT corners. AMS co-simulation with digital and software running AI workload to ensure sustainable power at max frequency.
- Test : All IP must include feature to support Characterisation , testing and validation of IP for silicon testing at the SoC top level at wafer level and package testing, align to product requirements.
- Models : Develop models ( VerilogA or Verilog) for accurate circuit behaviour to support SoC top levelverification strategy.
- Documentation: Create concise design document of the architecture choice, design implementation , and functionality of each transistors in the circuit with supporting simulation result for design reviews
- Layout Collaboration: Work closely with layout engineers to ensure optimal layout of analog circuits, providing guidance on critical layout techniques to minimize parasitics and enhance performance.
- Validation and Testing: Support post-silicon validation and characterization of designed circuits. Analyze test data to identify issues and refine circuit designs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with digital design, system, and process engineers to ensure seamless integration of analog and mixed-signal components into larger systems.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in analog design techniques and technologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of design methodologies.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Education:
- Master's degree or above in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
Experience:
- More than 3 years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design. Work experience requirements may be relaxed for candidates with strong capabilities.
- Experience in tape out and mass production is preferred.
- Experience in designing of MCUs, Security chips, BLEs is preferred.
Technical skills you will need to have:
- Proficiency in analog design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor Graphics, or similar.
- Strong understanding of analog circuit principles, including noise analysis, stability, phase noise and feedback systems.
- Experience with layout techniques and the ability to collaborate effectively with layout engineers.
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and process technology.
- Hands-on experience in designing more than one of the following circuits: ADCs, DACs, PLLs, OSC, bandgap bias circuits, regulators, DCDC, OPA, comparator, and other analog circuits.
- Lab testing skills to evaluate the prototype unit to the design specification.
Preferred experience you have:
- Knowledge of power management ICs.
- Familiarity with design for reliability and manufacturability (DFM/DFR) practices.
- Experience with lab equipment for testing and debugging analog circuits.
